I first met John in 1962. I was a new, young State Trooper working out of Ray Brook. I first talked to him once on the highway and once at his home. Short talks but I saw John many times out and about in his open cars. There is no doubt in my mind John was an exceptional individual and totally comfortable in his own skin. He was fortunate living his life exactly as he wished. RIP John
