I am Shirley Woodruff's nephew Eamon Howard and I am so sorry for her family's loss. It is so hard losing a loved one because somewhere deep inside we know in our spirit that we were never meant to be separated from them. We know deep inside this is an unnatural event that God never intended when he formed creation, so it is understandable why it upsets us so. However, just because it is perfectly natural to mourn and be upset that dies not mean there is no hope and comfort in the horizon. There is comfort because while aunt Shirley is gone for now we can take comfort that she is at rest with her creator as well as her loved ones in a place where there is "no more crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away" (Revelations 21:4 NIV); and there is reason to hope because one day you will see her again in paradise where "there will be no more death" (Revelations 21:4 NIV).
