Miss Margaret T. Blackner, was my sixth grade school teacher, from 1959 to 1960.  She was a strict disciplanrian, and we were all afraid of her, including me......I was scared to go to school, and gave my parents a hard time about going into her class...

Well, the first day of school, she and I hit it off, and the rest is history.

Miss Blackner was a wonderful teacher, she was my icon...I adored her, and had kept up a relationship, that spanned fifty five years...

When I found out that she was ill, it broke my heart.  To see such a vital and intelligent woman sick, was heartbreaking for me, for her family, and for her...she was a fighter, and I admired her for her will to live.

I will miss her terribly, she was a part of my childhood that is lost...but I want to thank her for her dedication for all the years of teaching, that, and her family, were her life...

Rest in peace, dear lady, you will always be Miss Blackner to me...I love you, and wish you eternal peace...and I wish her family, the love of friends, and God.
