Condolence: Dear Jackie & family,
I was sorry to hear about Ronnie. I met him in 1984 when I received my first assignment as a new DEC employee. The project was to rehabilitate the boat house at Crescent Bay. Ron and I quickly discover our mutual love of the lake and soon I was doing other projects with him. He was a great steward of Lower and Middle Saranac Lakes. The work he did there continues because of his efforts.

Condolence: I am sad to hear of Ron's passing and my heartfelt condolences go out to his family. While I had not seen him in many years, please know that I have followed his work related habits to this day. I worked under Ron in the late 80's and early 90's and while his attention to detail seemed overwhelming sometimes, in the end I was a better person for it. I have never failed to talk of my time with the DEC without speaking fondly of Ron Vancour.
