Donuts

Unfortunately, I am unable to make the trip home for the services but I am sending all my love to my family. Grandma was one of a kind. She was a very kind, giving woman and an active participant in the community. I was a two sport athlete in high school and can remember her being at many of my games. When my sister and I were younger she would take us to sporting events or school plays that our cousins were involved in. She made her grandchildren a priority and went out of her way to show up and support us in our interests. I recall a conversation I was having with grandma where somehow the subject of my favorite fruit came up. Let me just say… I was swimming in pineapple after that. I got random deliveries of pineapple and my favorite homemade donuts. Perhaps that is what I will miss the most… the anticipated visit from Grandma on Christmas morning with donuts in tow. I know everyone has their own memories of Jean, my Grandmother. I thought I would share just a few of mine and hopefully bring a smile to those who read this. I know I’ll think of her often, like every time a pass a yard/ garage sale because she loved them so much. R.I.P. Grandma… you will forever be missed.
