Obituary for Luc R. Niro

Luc R.  Niro
Luc R. Niro, age 50, of 45 Main Street, Bloomingdale, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Montreal, on May 28, 1962, he was the son of Henry and Sylvie (Veil) Niro. He married Elizabeth Callaghan on March 27, 1999 in Saranac Lake.

Luc had been a resident of the Saranac Lake area for 31 years coming from Crown Point, New York where he grew up on the family farm. He was employed by North Star Industries and Career Vision in Saranac Lake as a driver. Luc loved his computer, his games, sitting with their cats and going out for dinner. He especially loved spending time with Beth and traveling around the North Country. Luc was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all sports. Luc will be greatly missed by his many friends.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Bloomingdale, his brothers and sisters Michael (Gail) St Pierre, Joanne (Andrus) Gadway, Marie Pendell , Lucie (Gary) Bobbie, Norbert (Debbie) St Pierre, Helene (John) Carr, Jeannette (Mark) Peters, Louise (Ronnie) Dean , Celine Niro, Lisa (Matt) Apgar, John Niro, Florence (Stephen) Sears, Mario (Marina) St Pierre, Sylvie Niro, and Eugene (Traci) St Pierre. He also had 31 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and step father Roch H St Pierre
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 PM on Saturday February 23, 2013 at St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake with Rev. Bill Muench officiating. Burial will take place at St. Bernard Cemetery in Saranac Lake in the spring.
