Eunice June Tormey, age 86, of 1277 County Route 60, Onchiota, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at AMC-Mercy Health Care Center

Born in Vermontville, New York on September 14, 1925, she was the daughter of Hubert and Rhoda (Doty) Tyler. She married Hayden "Bing" Tormey on November 22, 1946 in First United Methodist Church. He predeceased her on May 4, 2005.

In the late 1940's Mrs. Tormey went to work with her husband at Tormey's IGA in Onchiota. She retired from the store in 1972.
Eunice enjoyed quilting, spending time with her grandson and walking her faithful Black Lab Trooper.

She is survived by one son: Hayden J. Tormey II of Lisbon, NY, and one daughter: Janet Ordway and her husband Ron of Onchiota, one grandson: Chad Ordway of Onchiota, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister Patricia Riley and her husband Raymond. She was preceded in death by her father, Mother and _two brothers Gene Tyler and Sonny Tyler and one sister Carol Shumway.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
