Our staff at Fortune-Keough Funeral Home remains committed and prepared to continue to safely care for the families it serves during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Whenever possible, Fortune-Keough Funeral Home will continue to enable families to participate in the rituals that are most important to them. We also want reassure all our families that our staff will continue to be available 24/7 to provide all aspects of preneed, at-need and after care services.

As you know, calling hours, memorial services and funerals often bring entire communities and families together.

Funerals help us acknowledge that someone we love has died, allow us the opportunity to say goodbye, and provide us vital social support systems of family, friends and faith communities.

According to the CDC, at this time, there is no known risk associated with being in the same room at a funeral or visitation service with the body of someone who died of confirmed or suspected COVID-19; however, federal, state and local public health guidance may impact the size of gathering a family is able to plan. Depending on a family’s preferences, their loved one can be safely embalmed. Families may choose either burial or cremation as usual.

We recognize our responsibility to protect the health of those we are privileged to serve, and we will continue to guide families, as we always have, in ways they can meaningfully commemorate the life of their loved one, while adhering to the guidance issued by federal, state and local public health officials.

We have and continue to reach out to our local clergy and churches. All of us are working together to be able provide alternative ways for extended family and friends to participate in services where attendance may be limited.

One of those ways we hope to help to bring family and friends together is by providing live streaming and/or video recordings of funeral services on our new YouTube channel and facebook page for family members and friends who cannot attend. Families will have the option of livestreaming/recording of their loved ones funeral services being available to the open public or private.

We are expanding our web page fortunekeoughfuenralhome.com to soon include video condolences for families and have also started a Fortune-Keough Funeral Home facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Fortune-Keough-Funeral-Home-Inc-150711701627735/
