Life Story for Linda Marie Naone (Laramee)

Linda Marie  Naone (Laramee)
Linda passed away on Saturday February 20th 2010 at Mercy Health Care Center in Tupper Lake NY, due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease, she was 69.
Born March 6th 1940 to Charles and Bertha (Hodge) Laramee, she was the youngest of 8 children. She graduated in June 1957 from Tupper Lake High School, she was her class Valedictorian and was the first of her family to go on to college. She graduated in June 1960 from the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Albany NY before returning to Tupper Lake to work at Sunmount Veterans Hospital. In 1961 she moved to Honolulu Hawaii and went to work at the Queens Medical Center where she met and later married David K. Naone. She later returned to Tupper Lake and to work for Sunmount Veterans Hospital until its closure. She then transferred to Coatsville Veterans Hospital in Coatsville Pennsylvania. In 1975 she again returned to Tupper Lake and to work for Sunmount DDSO until her retirement in 1997.
She was an avid photographer and supporter of the Arts working extensively with Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake and Community Theatre Players in Lake Placid.
She is survived by her son David and sisters Muriel Beaudette and Barbara Casagrain all of Tupper Lake and many nieces, nephews, and cousins around the globe. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 24 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in May.
