Condolence: We at Adirondack Architectural Heritage (AARCH) have just learned of Jim's death and are saddened by this great loss but are also heartened that the world is a much better place for his full and rich life. His landscape architecture work, volunteer work for organizations like AARCH, his intense curiosity, his infectious sense of humor, his devotion to family and friends and community, and his deep love of life all made him such an exceptional person. He will be dearly missed.

Condolence: We were saddened to hear of the recent passing of Jim. He was a most favorite cousin of my dad’s…he and mom so enjoyed visiting him up in Cranberry Lake off and on through the years, enjoying the conversation, the view, and a glass of his favorite wine. I enjoyed visiting him up in Cranberry Lake myself too, when traveling through that area for work, and then up at the Will Rodgers home. Always a treat to sit with him and talk and catch up, his mind was amazing and his wit beyond words. He will be missed by Marge, Kathy and Patti Glavin (Yott), very much! God rest his beautiful soul! Maureen, we need to catch up and stay in touch...I have your phone number now and hope to say hello soon.

Condolence: Enjoyed Jim at coffee hour at the Stone Manor in Cranberry Lake. Was a great gentleman with a good sense of humor and a very nice family. Was privileged to get to know him and his family. He is missed. Am sure he is happily landscaping in the ultimate garden.
May God Bless and keep all of his family.

Condolence: To the Glavin Family,
Wishing you all peace at this sad time of losing your dear father. My Mom, (Shirley Kivari) absolutely adored him , as did her Mom, Pauline Glavin Lemax. All my life, my mom s told me how Jimmy was her mother's favorite. Well, I always had the idea that he was a lot of people's favorite! When I see these pictures, I fondly remember my encounters with your Dad as funy and endearing. Im sure no one is surprised that he passed on All Saints Day. God's Blessings to all of you.

Condolence: Sister Glavin - I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I see a lot of your father in you...not just his appearance, but also his love of science. After reading his obituary, I'm sure I would have enjoyed knowing him, as much as I've enjoyed knowing you. God Bless you and your family. :o) Kim Graman

Condolence: Sister Maureen (Mo) - I was so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. He was a super guy and remembered by many of my family members: my parents (through work and socially), Tom (worked at HH&G), Janet (brought communion to him at a nursing home in Rochester)and myself when I was at your house on Robineau for various occasions with you during the BL and college years. My thoughts are with you and your family. May all your wonderful memories with him bring you comfort and your faith bring you peace. Love and hugs to you!!

Condolence: Our deepest condolences to all of Jim's family. We were so fortunate to have shared 15 years with Jim in Cranberry Lake. We have such fond memories of the many happy times spent sharing stories and "refreshments" on the lake. We moved to Cranberry Lake about the same time as Jim and left in 2002, and our happiest memories of CL will always include Jim. God bless.
