Obituary for Cynthia Ann Bushman (Pelkey)

Cynthia Ann Bushman, age 60, of Saranac Lake died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on November 05, 1957, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Barbara (Stringham) Pelkey. Cynthia married James Bushman on December 28, 1992 at the Stringham residence. James predeceased her on February, 12, 2012

Cindy was a resident and native of Saranac Lake. She came home in the fall of 2016 to be with her family in Saranac Lake. She and her husband lived together for 36 years in the south Texas area until the passing of her husband in 2012. She enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful blankets and throws that she loved to give as gifts.

She is survived by three daughters Tammy Bushman of Saranac Lake, Patricia (Joshua) Ryan of San Antonio TX, and Tracy Bushman of San Antonio, TX, , 5 grandchildren Christian Bushman, Matthew Ryan, Kyla Ryan, Jon Bushman and James Martin, one sister Sharon (Pelkey) Wilkins and her husband Mark of Greene, N.Y., four brothers, David Pelkey and his wife Nanette of Crown Point, N.Y., Keith Pelkey and his wife Nancy of Cato, N.Y., Kevin Pelkey of Vermontville, N.Y. and Joseph Wenner and his wife Laurie of Brushton N.Y. Also surviving are two step sisters, Deanna Wenner of White River Jct, VT and Linda Thomas of Dubois, PA and a step brother William Wenner Jr. of DuBois, PA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews

She was predeceased in death by her mother Barbara Pelkey Wenner, her father Gilbert Pelkey, her mother's second husband William Wenner, one sister Roberta (Pelkey) Shaw, one brother Chris Pelkey, and one a stepbrother Frank Wenner.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
