Edward B  Rabideau
Edward B. Rabideau, age 71, of Paul Smiths, died Monday, August 27, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Plattsburgh, New York on December 10, 1946, he was the son of Bernard and Mary (Andrews) Rabideau. Ed married Myra O'Dell on June 17, 1983 in Paul Smiths.

Ed grew up in Morrisonville, New York and had attended and graduated from Our Lady of Victory School in Plattsburgh. He worked as a security officer for Sunmount DDSO in Tupper Lake for 33 years until his retirement in 2002. Ed was a charter member of the Paul Smiths Gabriels Volunteer Fire Department. Following his retirement he also worked part time for ORDA at the Olympic Hockey rink in Lake Placid.

He is survived by his wife Myra, six children Jon Rabideau of Canton, Cynthia Rabideau of Philadelphia, Kimberly Rabideau of Plattsburgh, Jason (Katie) Rabideau of Jamestown, NC, Travis Rabideau of Saranac Lake and Christina (Charles) Fisk of Paul Smiths, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and one brother George Rabideau.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating. A reception will follow at the Paul Smiths Gabriel’s Volunteer Fire Station. Burial will take place in Mt. View Cemetery in Gabriels at a later date.
