Condolence: I was just recently telling my Nursing supervisor about Mary Ellen and how my sister always tells the story of how wonderfully she got Monica thru her labor and delivery of Mike Brown!
My mom worked with Mary Ellen and was in awe of her dedication and her natural ability to love and support the women at Saranac Lake General Hospital.
For me, I was the kid who was amazed at the Keith family every Sunday at St. Paul's and wondered how she braided her daughter's hair and still got to Mass on time!
I am so sorry for all the Keith family and the loss of such a loving Mom and grandmother. I wish I had known her.

Condolence: She will be missed alot. Not sure who is going to keep everyone on the straight and narrow inn Vermontville and B"dale. Traveling back and forth to nursing school, working together, running into each other after not seeing each for years and starting right where we left off. She was always helping someone or busy fixing something. She was a doer. She raised some great kids. Great lady

Condolence: Our deepest sympathies to Mary Ellen's family and friends. She led a full life of service to her family, those in need and the Town. She was an anchor to the community(ies). We will miss her.

Condolence: As a member of the Frances L. Carpenter Foundation, we have granted the Vermontville Food Pantry operating $$$ for many years. Mary Ellen was a superlative steward of the funds available to her. Many will miss her and grieve her passing. God Bless.

Condolence: I met MaryEllen a little over 15 years ago when my family moved to the area. She urged me to help her by running the Town of Franklin Youth Program. The reason I agreed was because of the passion she showed for the program! She loved the kids and they loved her! She would prepare a Thanksgiving Dinner as a special lunch, make treats to go along with some of our special days and still found time to come visit and sit to chat with the children. I am still directing the program and will continue in her honor! She became a friend and confidante, my substitute Grandma, but above all, an example of community service and caring. I only hope that I can follow in her footsteps! Love you, MaryEllen. See you when I get to heaven! Love and prayers go out to all of her family and friends. I pray that you can pay forward her compassion and kindness!

What a gal- she taught me so much when I started work @GHSL as a new graduate nurse & she a NA at that time- much more than I learned in school. And what fun we had working together- it was enjoyable going to work and a great feeling leaving work knowing what we had accomplished. I really loved her.
I am sorry I am unable to attend her services as I will be out of town, but she & all are in my thoughts and prayers.
