Gerald  "Jerry"  Primeau
Gerald "Jerry" Primeau formerly of Saranac Lake and of Port Charlotte, FL went to be with the Lord on July "10, 2017.

Born 1920 in Malone, N.Y., one of eleven children of Rodrick and Martha. After graduating from Franklin Academy Jerry moved to Saranac Lake where he worked for Keough and Son Funeral Home. He joined the Navy during WWII 1942-1945 as a pharmacist mate and was honorably discharged in 1945. He married his sweet heart Geraldine Drasyc and remained in Saranac Lake. Jerry continued working at the funeral home and he graduated from Simmons Embalming School, Syracue, NY in 1947. Jerry worked several jobs throughout his life and he finished his -career as the Harriststown Town Assessor and later retired to Florida. Jerry was very active in the community and held many honorable positions including the Saranac Lake Elks BPOE 1508, VFW, Saranac Lake Lions Club, Bowling league and served as President of Saranc Lake Golf Club. Jerry was an avid golfer he was very proud of his 4 hole in ones. He also belonged to many clubs in Florida as well and was an active member of Saint Antonio Parish, where he was an usher for many years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years in 2009, Geri and his siblings except Isabelle Aubry in Rouses Paint, NY.

He leaves behind a son, William J. Primeau (penny) of Lakeland, FL; daughters, Mary (Jimmy) Boeckman of Port Charlotte and Muriel (Steve) Paye of Asheboro, NC; 4 grandchildren, Rene Woods of Lakeland, Robert (Monica) Connor of Apex, NC, Brian (Beth) Beckwith of Asheboro, NC and Randy Connor of Port Charlotte; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. His latest being born on the day he died named Gerald; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, July 28, 2017 at San Antonio Catholic Church, Punta Gorda, FL.
