The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Carolyn Hickok can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Sue Walker
Condolence: Sorry to hear of your Moms passing. My family and I have been coming to Fish Creek to camp every year since we were kids, nearly 60 years , and I would always look forward to stop in to see your Mom at Hickocks - she certainly was a dear lady - she and my Dad has been the same age within 6 months and he passed away the next day - both lovers of the Adirondacks !! She will be missed by many !

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. I have known her for many years and always thought she was one of the nicest and sweetest ladies. The last time I saw her was at the Swiss Kitchen in Tupper Lake. Although it had been several years since Bob's passing, he was still foremost in her thoughts and she missed him terribly. They can now rest together for eternity.

Condolence: Dear Roger, Billy, Carol Anne and families,

So sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. I have such great memories of working at the canoe livery camp-site location cleaning canoes, but mostly listening to your Mom's stories about people and places and life. And then later as I had kids of my own, she loved to see them come into the shop for ice-cream and souvenirs. She will be sorely missed!

Condolence: Carolyn was such a sweet woman and the kindest of bosses. I worked the canoe livery through my college years, and relish the time spent working at Hickok's.

Condolence: I am so saddened to learn of Carolyn passing. I stopped to visit her in Tupper at Easter and had such a nice visit. She was a great lady and I loved doing her hair while we chatted away. She will be greatly missed.
