Condolences

Condolence From: Marji
Condolence: There isn't a day that I think of Steve when the tears don't come.

Growing up, Steve gave me many nicknames. He teased me. He pushed my buttons. But he watched out for me.
He got me a kitten when I was not to have any more animals. He fostered me in college.
He shared the worst "walk into a bar" jokes with me.
He was a typical big brother in many ways but most importantly he was my big brother and I miss him terribly.
He was also a loving partner to Cindy, a best friend to Sassy and a cherished son.

Darkness on the edge
Shadows where I stand
I search for the time
On a watch with no hands
I want to see you clearly
Come closer than this
But all I remember
Are the dreams in the mist.

Condolence: B, Hank, Cindy and to the rest of Steve's loving family...
My heart goes out to all of you at this sad and emotional time.
Steve was my first nephew and a special one to me.
As a youngster I enjoyed watching him frolick in the waters of Long Island with his sisters and cousins...splashing and giggling all the while. As time went by, seeing him mature into this loving and kind person made me so proud to be called his Aunt. I particularly enjoyed our 'one on one' conversations and will miss them.
Thanks Steve for all my cherished memories of you as they will be in my heart and thoughts forever.
God bless you and until we meet again....
Aunt Jo

Condolence: We are all of us suffering a terrible loss - that of a son, a brother, a life partner, an uncle, nephew, cousin and playmate - taken from us before his time; thankfully without prolonged pain, or, from his point of view, serious debilitation.

He was a hero to each of us in different ways.

We could fill a book with recollections of everyday and special events involving him and their impact on our family life. We are glad to learn that many of you have fond memories to ponder and to share as well.

He is missed.

He will be long mourned.

He will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace Steven Douglas.

Condolence: Lori and I are deeply saddened by the news of Steven's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aunt B, Uncle Hank, Marji, Barbara Ellen, Lynn, Cindy and their immediate families as they cope with their loss.

Memories of West Suffield are some of my fondest childhood memories and Steven was among them. Although I did not see him in my later years, we always kept in touch with cards with personal notes and the inevitable 'confetti' that would litter our floors when opened as the holiday season rolled around. His presence in the world will be missed, but his memory will live with all who knew and loved him.

Love to all and know our thoughts are with you all.

Condolence: I remember the time you ran you heart out at the Grange Fair in Suffield to win a football...you wouldn't quit, you were run ragged...I was in awe of you. I remember your calligraphy, poetry, your class "individualist", your nickname "Fred". I remember your twisted humor and love for dogs. You saved my life when I was an infant, so I have been told.I wish that I had known you better...you are already missed. May you be in peace.
Thank you Cindi for being my brothers keeper and soulmate. God Bless you. To see a setting sun is to know that somewhere else it is rising. Love B
