Edward J. Williams, age 72, of Vermontville, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at University of Vermont Medical Center.

Born in Plattsburgh, New York on June 30, 1944, he was the son of Edward and Arminda (Jacobs) Williams.

Ed worked as an Electronics Technician for over 20 years for the United States Air Force at Griffith Air force Base until his retirement. He loved to hunt and fish and was always willing to help anyone.

He is survived by one sister Sally Marcello of Catskill, NY and many close friends including Marvin Tuthill of Glens Falls and Diane Lewis of Vermontville and her Children Ashley Sparks Colby and Matthew Tanzini. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. At Ed’s request there will be no calling hours. A funeral service will take place at the convenience of family and friends.
