Dear Family - I am so sad to learn of the loss of our beloved Mary. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Mary was a huge part of my early life when I was age 17 and I moved to DC from a very small town in New Mexico. Mary was my sister Darlene's supervisor when she worked in Wash. DC and the journey in life they shared is a special story indeed. I was introduced to Mary through my sister. Darlene asked Mary to look after me when I moved to DC in 1977. Mary and George both looked after me during that early part of my life. Mary in fact was responsible for helping me enroll into college that changed the course of my life both personal and career. I have lots of great memories of Mary and George as they made sure this little hispanic girl learned to live in the BIG City. I love you Mary and have missed you so. You have always been my role model. I wish I could have been half the person you were. You had so many gifts that God blessed you with. Oh, how you loved our dear Lord and served him well. You shared you love and gifts with all with the people you came across while here on earth. Thank you for sharing them with me especially and for touching my life as you did. You will forever live in my heart. My angel now, our angel now. This poem is for you. "So go and run free" So go and run free with the angels Dance around the golden clouds For the lord has chosen you to be with him And we should feel nothing but proud Although he has taken you from us And our pain a lifetime will last Your memory will never escape us But make us glad for the time we did have Your face will always be hidden Deep inside our hearts Each precious moment you gave us Shall never, ever depart So go and run free with the angels As they sing so tenderly And please be sure to tell them To take good care of you for me Author unknown.
