Obituary for Jerry Fobare

Jerry  Fobare
Jerry Fobare, age 72, of 58 James Street, Saranac Lake, died Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on May 10, 1942, he was the son of Leo and Laura Belle Fobare.

Jerry had been employed as a plumber his entire life in the family business Fobare and Sons Plumbing and Heating in Saranac Lake and was a member of the pipefitters/plumbers union 773. He was an avid hunter and is a former member of the Roger Brook and Sucker Brook Hunting Club, and is a co-founder of Mt. Baldy Hunting Club. Jerry is a lifetime member of the Saranac Lake Elks Club BPOE 1508.

He is survived by his two sons Jerry Fobare and his wife Sheri of Saranac Lake and Paul Fobare of Glassboro, NJ, two grandchildren Justin Fobare of Rainbow Lake and Halen Fobare of Saranac Lake, one sister Paula Cheney and her husband Jerry of Saranac Lake, NY, two brothers Linus Fobare and Beverly of Ormond Beach, FL, Malcolm Fobare and Peppy of Bloomingdale and Ormond Beach, FL, one sister-in-law Dorothy Fobare of Saranac Lake and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Leo Fobare, his mother Laura Belle Fobare and one brother Chester Fobare.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. An Elks prayer service will take place Monday evening at 6:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday August 19, at St. Bernard’s Church. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
