My maternal grandmother was Nora Ryan, daughter of John and Johanna Ryan of Franklin NY. Teresa contacted my mother and by extention me years back about our Ryan family. It turned out a Ryan married a Ryan. Teresa was very involved in the geneology of her family. In the mid '90's I was fortunate to visit Saranac Lake to continue my Ryan research. At that time I was living in the Virgin Islands. That research led me to St Rose Cemetery. Following that visit I was able to contact Teresa and she invited me to visit her home. We talked at length about the Ryans then she went to her files and pulled out a letter I had written 20 years prior to her about our common family. I was pleasantly surprised. Teresa was impressive. She and Clarence were very gracious, welcoming, and friendly to this stranger.
